Student Debates

Caucasus Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development is pleased to announce student debates " The role of fair elections in the democracy development process" and invite students  to participate. The debates is carried out with financial support of the Council of Europe. 
The debate will be held in five university cities: Akhaltsikhe, Batumi, Tbilisi, Telavi and Kutaisi.

The central government takes measures that ignore local community needs and, therefore, lack credibility. Important arguments in favor of decentralizing government are that it: creates an efficient and reliable administration, intensifies and improves local development, and better protects minorities.
